Third seed Fritz cruises into quarter-finals in Munich

American Taylor Fritz, the No 3 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Munich Open by beating Spanish qualifier Alejandro Moro Canas 6-3, 6-1 at the MTTC Iphitos complex on Thursday afternoon.

Fritz, ranked No 15, will play No 6 seed Jack Draper next.

In the previous round of the Munich tournament, Moro Canas, ranked No 240, won against Austrian Dominic Thiem (6-4, 6-4).
