Swiss Open: Wawrinka through to second round as Carballes Baena retires

Swiss Stan Wawrinka moved into the second round of the Swiss Open when Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena, the No 6 seed, retired at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad.
Wawrinka, ranked No 74, led 6-1, 3-1 when Carballes Baena, ranked No 60, pulled out on Tuesday evening at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad.
The 38-year-old Swiss will play Spaniard Jaume Munar next.
