Swiss Open: Tsitsipas eases past Fognini to reach the semi-finals

Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the top seed, moved into the semi-finals of the Swiss Open by beating Italian Fabio Fognini, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 6-3 at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 12, will face the winner of the match between Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 3 seed, and Italian Matteo Berrettini, the No 6 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Gstaad tournament, the Greek won against Serb Hamad Medjedovic (7-6 (6), 6-3).
Fognini, ranked No 80, won against French qualifier Titouan Droguet (6-4, 6-3) and edged out Peruvian qualifier Juan Pablo Varillas (3-6, 7-6 (5), 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Gstaad tournament.
