German Jan-Lennard Struff, the No 5 seed, moved into the second round of the Swiss Open by defeating Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (6), 7-6 (4) at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad on Monday.
Struff, ranked No 37, will face Swiss wildcard Leandro Riedi next.
