Swiss Open: Second seed Kecmanovic reaches semis, beats qualifier Bergs

Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the second seed, moved into the last four of the Swiss Open by edging out Belgian qualifier Zizou Bergs 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad on Friday.
Kecmanovic, ranked No 44, will play the winner of the match between Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas and Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas next.

The Serb won against Swiss wildcard Dominic Stricker (7-6 (4), 6-1) ahead of his victory.
In the previous rounds of the Gstaad tournament, Bergs, ranked No 175, defeated Serb Laslo Djere, the No 8 seed (6-0, 4-6, 6-3) and edged out Austrian qualifier Jurij Rodionov (7-6 (8), 4-6, 7-6 (4)).
