Swiss Open: Qualifier Heide stuns Humbert to make last eight
Gustavo Heide beat Ugo Humbert 6-7 (2), 6-2, 6-3 on Thursday afternoon and will face French qualifier Quentin Halys in the next round
Brazilian qualifier Gustavo Heide won against Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the second seed, 6-7 (2), 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the last eight of the Swiss Open at the Roy Emerson Arena.
Heide, ranked No 178, will face French qualifier Quentin Halys next.
In the previous round of the Gstaad tournament, the 22-year-old Brazilian edged out Italian Stefano Napolitano (7-6 (4), 5-7, 7-6 (3)).
