Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan advanced to the second round of the Swiss Open by winning against Vit Kopriva 6-3, 6-2 at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad on Monday afternoon.

Galan, ranked No 142, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Pedro Cachin and Italian Matteo Berrettini, the No 6 seed, next.
