German Daniel Altmaier won against Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the second round of the Swiss Open at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad on Monday.
Altmaier, ranked No 64 in the world, will face No 4 seed Yannick Hanfmann next.
