Canadian wildcard Denis Shapovalov moved into the last eight of the Swiss Indoors by beating Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut 6-3, 7-6 (4) in Basel.
Shapovalov, ranked No 95, will play the winner of the match between Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 8 seed, and Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard next.
The Canadian won against Chinese Juncheng Shang (6-1, 6-4) in the previous round of the Basel tournament.
In the previous round of the Basel tournament, Bautista Agut, ranked No 45, defeated Norwegian Casper Ruud, the second seed (6-3, 3-6, 6-3).
