Swiss Indoors: Arthur Fils eases past Martinez to move into quarter-finals

Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 7 seed, reached the quarter-finals of the Swiss Indoors by beating Spaniard Pedro Martinez Portero 7-5, 6-3 in Basel.
Fils, ranked No 20, will face Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 3 seed, next.
The 20-year-old Frenchman won against German qualifier Daniel Altmaier (7-6 (5), 6-3) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Basel tournament, Martinez Portero, ranked No 39, won against Jiri Lehecka (6-2, 6-2).
