Stuttgart Open: Tiafoe beats Hanfmann to move into quarter-finals
Frances Tiafoe defeated Yannick Hanfmann 7-5, 7-6 (5). He’ll play the winner of the match between Marcos Giron and Jack Draper in the next round

American Frances Tiafoe, the No 4 seed, moved into the last 8 of the Stuttgart Open by defeating German Yannick Hanfmann 7-5, 7-6 (5) at Tennisclub Weissenhof Stuttgart.
Tiafoe, ranked No 28, will face the winner of the match between American Marcos Giron and No 6 seed Jack Draper next.
Hanfmann, ranked No 91, won against wildcard Henri Squire (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round of the Stuttgart tournament.
