Yannick Hanfmann won against wildcard Henri Squire 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the second round of the Stuttgart Open at Tennisclub Weissenhof Stuttgart on Monday.
Hanfmann, ranked No 91, will face No 4 seed Frances Tiafoe next.
