Stuttgart Open: Bublik sinks Medjedovic to reach last eight
Alexander Bublik beat Hamad Medjedovic 6-1, 7-6 (4) on Wednesday afternoon and will face Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 5 seed, in the next round

Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 3 seed, defeated Serb wildcard Hamad Medjedovic 6-1, 7-6 (4) to move into the last eight of the Stuttgart Open at Tennisclub Weissenhof Stuttgart.
Bublik, ranked No 17, will play Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 5 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Stuttgart tournament, Medjedovic, ranked No 131, edged out Hungarian Fabian Marozsan (6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-4).
