Rune sets up semi-final against defending champion Sinner in Sofia
Holger Rune edged out Ilya Ivashka 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 on Friday evening and will play Italian Jannik Sinner, the top seed, in the next round

Dane Holger Rune, the No 5 seed, edged out Belarusian Ilya Ivashka 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 to advance to the semi-finals of the Sofia Open at the Arena Armeec Sofia on Friday evening.
Rune, ranked No 31, will face Italian Jannik Sinner, the top seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the 19-year-old Dane won against Dutchman Tim van Rijthoven (7-6 (2), 7-6 (6)) and Italian Lorenzo Sonego (6-7 (1), 6-4, 6-3).
Ivashka, ranked No 71, edged out Swede Mikael Ymer (7-6 (8), 4-6, 7-5) and beat Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 3 seed (6-3, 7-6 (3)) earlier in the tournament.
