Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler reached the semi-finals of the Sofia Open by beating Pole Kamil Majchrzak 6-7 (4), 7-6 (6), 6-3 at the Arena Armeec Sofia on Friday.
Huesler, ranked No 95, will face the winner of the match between German qualifier Jan-Lennard Struff and Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 4 seed, next.
The Swiss won against French qualifier Geoffrey Blancaneaux (6-4, 6-4) and Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta, the second seed (6-3, 3-6, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, Majchrzak, ranked No 119, defeated Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis (7-5, 6-2) and edged out German Oscar Otte, the No 8 seed (4-6, 6-2, 6-4).
