Shanghai Masters: Qualifier Watanuki reaches third round, beats Nakashima
Yosuke Watanuki won against Brandon Nakashima 7-6 (4), 6-3 on Saturday night and will play the winner of the match between American Taylor Fritz, the No 7 seed, and French qualifier Terence Atmane in the next round

Japanese qualifier Yosuke Watanuki beat American Brandon Nakashima, the No 32 seed, 7-6 (4), 6-3 to move into the third round of the Shanghai Masters at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center on Saturday night.
Watanuki, ranked No 336, will play the winner of the match between American Taylor Fritz, the No 7 seed, and French qualifier Terence Atmane next.
The Japanese edged out Russian Pavel Kotov (6-7 (6), 6-4, 7-5) ahead of his victory.
