Chinese Shang Juncheng advanced to the second round of the Shanghai Masters by beating wildcard Chak Lam Coleman Wong 6-4, 6-4 at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center.

Shang, ranked No 55, will play No 3 seed Carlos Alcaraz next.
