Shanghai Masters: Ruud books spot in last 16

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 8 seed, reached the last 16 of the Shanghai Masters by defeating American Christopher Eubanks, the No 29 seed, 6-4, 6-2 at the Qi Zhong Stadium on Sunday.
Ruud, ranked No 9, will play the winner of the match between Serb Dusan Lajovic and Hungarian Fabian Marozsan next.
The Norwegian won against Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka (7-5, 6-0) ahead of his victory. Eubanks, ranked No 32, beat German Yannick Hanfmann (4-6, 6-3, 6-2).
