Shanghai Masters: Hurkacz dispatches Hsu to advance to the last 16

Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 16 seed, defeated qualifier Yu Hsiou Hsu 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the last 16 of the Shanghai Masters at the Qi Zhong Stadium.

Hurkacz, ranked No 17, will play the winner of the match between Chinese Zhizhen Zhang and American Brandon Nakashima next.

The Pole won against Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis (7-6 (5), 6-4) in the previous round of the Shanghai tournament.

In the previous rounds of the Shanghai tournament, Hsu, ranked No 184, edged out Australian Max Purcell (7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-4) and beat Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 17 seed (6-3, 6-4).
