Top seed Daniel Evans moved into the quarter-finals of the San Diego Open by winning against Japanese Taro Daniel 6-4, 6-4 at the Barnes Tennis Centre on Thursday night.
Evans, ranked No 25, will face Frenchman Constant Lestienne next.
