Rune extends his collaboration with the Mouratoglou Academy
Holger Rune will keep working with the Mouratoglou Academy. Staff from the academy have also joined his team.
Seven years after setting foot for the first time at the Mouratoglou Academy, Holger Rune still wants to stay. Coached for twelve months by Patrick Mouratoglou, the Danish player hasn’t cut ties with the French team after the coaching collaboration ended. MTA members Louis Fresneau (physio), Mike James (performance analyst), and Lapo Becherini (fitness trainer) are part of Rune’s team for 2024.
“Looking forward to my extended collaboration with the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy. Thank you for your loyal support and for making this possible”, said Rune on Instagram. Holger Rune hired Boris Becker as coach in October and announced in December that Severin Lüthi, the former coach of Roger Federer, was joining the team.
Ex-player Kenneth Carlsen, from Denmark, is also part of the team, as you can see in the photo released on Instagram. Carlsen followed Rune at the UTS Grand Final in London earlier this month.
Rune, who has never hidden that he dreams of winning Grand Slam titles and reaching the top of the ranking, is clearly trying to get himself a dream team for 2024.
