Dane Holger Rune, the No 4 seed, beat French qualifier Constant Lestienne 6-4, 6-4 to move into the second round of the Rotterdam Open at the Rotterdam Ahoy on Wednesday.

Rune, ranked No 9, will play Dutch wildcard Gijs Brouwer next.
