Rotterdam Open: Rublev reaches last eight

Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 4 seed, won against Hungarian Fabian Marozsan 7-6 (2), 7-6 (7) to advance to the quarter-finals of the Rotterdam Open at the Rotterdam Ahoy on Thursday.

Rublev, ranked No 10, will face Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 8 seed, next.

The Russian beat Chinese Zhizhen Zhang (6-3, 6-4) ahead of his victory.

In the previous round of the Rotterdam tournament, Marozsan, ranked No 57, edged out German Jan-Lennard Struff (6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (3)).
