Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 6 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Rotterdam Open by defeating Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp 6-2, 6-2 at the Rotterdam Ahoy on Thursday afternoon.
Medvedev, ranked No 11, will face Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 3 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Rotterdam tournament, the Russian won against Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (4-6, 6-2, 6-2).
Van De Zandschulp, ranked No 35, edged out French lucky loser Quentin Halys (5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (4)) during the first round of the Rotterdam tournament.
