Rotterdam Open: Hurkacz makes last eight as Lehecka retires
Hubert Hurkacz will play the winner of the match between Andrey Rublev, the No 4 seed, and Fabian Marozsan in the next round
Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 8 seed, advanced to the last eight of the Rotterdam Open when Jiri Lehecka retired at the Rotterdam Ahoy on Wednesday.
Hurkacz, ranked No 21, led 7-5, 2-0 when Lehecka, ranked No 24, pulled out.
The Pole will play the winner of the match between Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 4 seed, and Hungarian Fabian Marozsan next.
Hubert Hurkacz won against Italian Flavio Cobolli (6-3, 6-2) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Rotterdam tournament, Jiri Lehecka defeated Australian Alexei Popyrin (7-5, 6-2).
