Chinese Yibing Wu reached the second round of the Rome Masters by winning against Frenchman Richard Gasquet 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 at the Foro Italico on Wednesday afternoon.
Wu, ranked No 57, will face No 24 seed Francisco Cerundolo next.
