Rome Masters: Tsitsipas reaches third round with rain-delayed win over Borges
Stefanos Tsitsipas won against Nuno Borges 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday. He’ll play Italian Lorenzo Sonego in the next round
Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 5 seed, reached the third round of the Rome Masters by winning against Portuguese Nuno Borges 6-3, 6-3 at the Foro Italico on Sunday.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 5, will play Italian Lorenzo Sonego next.
Tsitsipas is now 13-2 against players ranked outside the Top 50 so far this year, and 6-1 in opening rounds.
In the previous round of the Italian Open, Borges, ranked No 88, defeated Serb Dusan Lajovic (6-4, 6-1).
