Rome Masters: Medvedev books spot in last 16

Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 3 seed, won against Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles, the No 31 seed, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 to reach the last 16 of the Rome Masters at the Foro Italico on Monday.
Medvedev, ranked No 3, will face the winner of the match between American J.J. Wolf and German Alexander Zverev, the No 19 seed, next.
Medvedev got his first-ever win in the Rome main draw in the previous round, and now enjoys a 19-match winning streak against Spaniards ranked outside the Top 20, which extends back to 2018.
The Russian beat Finn Emil Ruusuvuori (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Italian Open.
In the previous round of the Italian Open, Zapata Miralles, ranked No 38, won against Australian Jason Kubler (6-4, 6-1).
