Rome Masters: Fritz wins all-American battle against Korda to reach last 16
Taylor Fritz defeated Sebastian Korda 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday. He’ll face Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 8 seed, in the next round

No 11 seed Taylor Fritz reached the last 16 of the Rome Masters by winning against No 24 seed Sebastian Korda 6-3, 6-4 at the Foro Italico in Roma on Sunday afternoon.
Fritz, ranked No 13, will face Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 8 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, Taylor Fritz defeated Italian wildcard Fabio Fognini (6-3, 6-4).
Korda, ranked No 27, edged out Italian Flavio Cobolli (7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-4) in the previous round of the Italian Open.
