Rome Masters: De Minaur moves into third round
Alex De Minaur defeated Roberto Carballes Baena 6-3, 6-2 on Saturday. He’ll play the winner of the match between Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 18 seed, and Dutch qualifier Botic van de Zandschulp in the next round

Australian Alex de Minaur, the No 9 seed, won against Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the third round of the Rome Masters at the Foro Italico in Rome on Saturday.
De Minaur, ranked No 11, will face the winner of the match between Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 18 seed, and Dutch qualifier Botic van de Zandschulp next.
In the previous round of the Italian Open, Carballes Baena, ranked No 62, benefitted from the abandonment of Australian Christopher O’Connell (6-7 (7), 5-0).
