Rome Masters: Cerundolo into third round

Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 24 seed, moved into the third round of the Rome Masters by beating Chinese Yibing Wu 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 at the Foro Italico on Friday.

Cerundolo, ranked No 31, will face the winner of the match between Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 11 seed, and Frenchman Gregoire Barrere next.

In the previous round of the Italian Open, Wu, ranked No 57, won against Frenchman Richard Gasquet (3-6, 6-3, 6-3).
