Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena moved into the second round of the Rome Masters when Australian Christopher O’Connell retired on Thursday evening at the Foro Italico in Rome.
Carballes Baena, ranked No 62, led 6-7 (7), 5-0 when O’Connell, ranked No 66, pulled out at the Foro Italico in Roma on Thursday evening.
The Spaniard will face No 9 seed Alex De Minaur next.
