Rome Masters: Rune ousted by Baez in third round

Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 17 seed, won against Dane Holger Rune, the No 10 seed and the runner-up last year, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the last 16 of the Rome Masters at the Foro Italico in Rome on Monday evening.

Baez, ranked No 19, will play Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 7 seed, next.

The Argentinian beat Serb Dusan Lajovic (7-6 (3), 7-6 (6)) in the previous round of the Italian Open.

In the previous round of the Italian Open, Rune, ranked No 12, defeated Italian Luca Nardi (6-4, 6-4).
