Stefanos Tsitsipas has reached at least the round of 16 of every Masters 1000 event on clay since the start of 2021.
And that impressive form continued in style as he took apart Tomas Martin Etcheverry in Monte-Carlo, 6-1, 6-0, in just 64 minutes.
The 12th seed is now 13-0 against players ranked outside the top 20 in Monte-Carlo.
Tsitsipas, a two-time champion at this event, hit 22 winners and broke the Etcheverry serve six times to set up a meeting with Alexander Zverev.
This would have been the biggest win of Etcheverry’s career as he sought consecutive wins at Masters level for the first time ever. He is now 2-12 against players ranked in the top 20.
