Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are on course to meet in a mouthwatering quarter-final clash at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.
The world No 1 returns to action with a bye in the first round, and should he get through the next two matches, he is likely to meet the young Spaniard in the last eight.
For his part, the 18-year-old also opens with a bye, and looks set to face Sebastian Korda in the second round, and tenth seed Taylor Fritz in the third.
Alcaraz has been collecting plenty of scalps in recent months, including top 10 players Hubert Hurkacz, Casper Ruud and Cameron Norrie, and lifted the Miami Open title last week.
