Bernabe Zapata Miralles reached the second round of the Rio Open by winning against Jaume Munar 6-3, 7-5 at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday evening.
Zapata Miralles, ranked No 63, will play Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, next.
