Rio Open: Ramos-Vinolas advances to second round

Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas, the No 7 seed, edged out Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 to move into the second round of the Rio Open at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday evening.

Ramos-Vinolas, ranked No 47, will play Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan next.
