Spaniard Jaume Munar defeated Austrian Sebastian Ofner, the No 8 seed, 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Rio Open at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday night.
Munar, ranked No 73, will face the winner of the match between Chilean Alejandro Tabilo and Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild next.
