Rio Open: Hanfmann upsets Jarry to move into second round

German Yannick Hanfmann edged out Chilean Nicolas Jarry, the No 3 seed, 6-1, 1-6, 7-5 to advance to the second round of the Rio Open at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday.
Hanfmann, ranked No 56, will play the winner of the match between Federico Coria and qualifier Mariano Navone next.
