Qualifier Mariano Navone reached the second round of the Rio Open by defeating Federico Coria 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday.
Navone, ranked No 113, will play German Yannick Hanfmann next.
