Pune Open: Van Rijthoven advances to second round

Dutchman Tim van Rijthoven moved into the second round of the Pune Open by winning against Radu Albot 6-4, 6-4 at the Mhalunge Balewadi Tennis Complex on Tuesday night.

Van Rijthoven, ranked No 111, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Pablo Andujar and Russian Aslan Karatsev, the No 8 seed, next.
