Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles upset Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, the second seed, 6-7 (7), 6-4, 6-2 to reach the last eight of the Portuguese Open at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Thursday.
Zapata Miralles, ranked No 43, will play Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 6 seed, next.
The Spaniard defeated Portuguese qualifier Henrique Rocha (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Estoril Open.
