Portuguese Open: First win since February for Thiem, advances to second round

Dominic Thiem reached the second round of the Portuguese Open by edging out qualifier Sebastian Ofner 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Tuesday.
Thiem, ranked No 111, will play American Ben Shelton, the No 8 seed, next.
