Portuguese Open: local hero Sousa moves into second round against Ruud
João Sousa won against Giulio Zeppieri 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 on Tuesday evening and will play top seed Casper Ruud in the next round

Portuguese wildcard João Sousa beat Italian Giulio Zeppieri 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 to advance to the second round of the Portuguese Open at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Tuesday evening.
Sousa, ranked No 147, will face top seed Casper Ruud next.
