Portuguese Open: Shelton advances to second round
Ben Shelton won against Constant Lestienne 7-5, 7-5 on Tuesday and will play the winner of the match between Dominic Thiem and qualifier Sebastian Ofner in the next round
American Ben Shelton, the No 8 seed, won against Frenchman Constant Lestienne 7-5, 7-5 to move into the second round of the Portuguese Open at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Tuesday.
Shelton, ranked No 39, will face the winner of the match between Dominic Thiem and qualifier Sebastian Ofner next.
