Portuguese Open: Ruud moves into quarter-finals

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the top seed, reached the last 8 of the Portuguese Open by beating Portuguese wildcard João Sousa 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Wednesday evening.
Ruud, ranked No 5, will play No 5 seed Sebastian Baez next.
Sousa, ranked No 147, won against Italian Giulio Zeppieri (6-4, 1-6, 6-3) in the previous round of the Estoril Open.
