Frenchman Quentin Halys beat Portuguese Nuno Borges 6-3, 6-4 to move into the second round of the Portuguese Open at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Tuesday evening.
Halys, ranked No 80, will play No 4 seed Roberto Bautista Agut next.
