Paris Masters: Tiafoe makes last 16 eliminating Draper

American Frances Tiafoe, the No 16 seed, advanced to the last 16 of Paris Masters by winning against Jack Draper 6-3, 7-5 at the Accor Arena on Wednesday.

Tiafoe, ranked No 21, will face the winner of the match between Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 4 seed, and Australian Alex De Minaur next.

The American still did not lose a set in the tournament after he defeated Italian qualifier Lorenzo Sonego (6-4, 6-4).

In the previous round of the Paris Bercy, Draper, ranked No 45, beat French wildcard Arthur Rinderknech (6-3, 6-4).
