Paris Masters: Former champion Khachanov advances to second round
Karen Khachanov won against Max Purcell 6-4, 6-4 on Monday and will face the winner of the match between Serb Laslo Djere and French wildcard Luca Van Assche in the next round

Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 16 seed, won against Australian Max Purcell 6-4, 6-4 to move into the second round of Paris Masters at the Accor Arena on Monday afternoon.
Khachanov, ranked No 15, will play the winner of the match between Serb Laslo Djere and French wildcard Luca Van Assche next.
