Nordea Open: Kotov beats Garin in first round
The Russian will meet the winner of the match between Croat qualifier Duje Ajdukovic and Frenchman Luca Van Assche in the next round

Russian Pavel Kotov, the No 8 seed, moved into the second round of the Nordea Open by beating Chilean Cristian Garin 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-1 at the Båstads tennisstadion in Bastad on Monday.
Kotov, ranked No 60, will play the winner of the match between Croat qualifier Duje Ajdukovic and Frenchman Luca Van Assche next.
